About Paul Davison

Paul brings a calm, considered approach to complex tax and finance matters.

He advises on the full range of financing transactions and has particular expertise and experience in distressed debt restructurings. Paul also advises a range of clients on corporate finance mandates (including both public and private M&A), and helps clients resolve complex HMRC enquiries and disputes. Clients appreciate the rigour of Paul’s legal analysis, which he bases on a firm grasp of the commercial realities, and allies with a detailed understanding of accounting concepts.

  • Indivior plc, the global pharmaceutical company specialising in the treatment of substance use disorders, on its additional US listing on NASDAQ
  • Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC on the £1.6bn recommended cash offer by Becketts Bidco Limited, a newly incorporated company formed by a consortium of funds managed and/or advised by Astorg Asset Management S.à r.l., Epiris GP Limited and Epiris GP III Limited 
  • The sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company B.S.C., on the share capital reorganisation of McLaren Group Limited
  • ED&F Man Group, one of the world’s largest traders of agricultural products, on its successful corporate restructuring and complex cross-border refinancing, involving the first large scale international financial restructuring where the new English restructuring plan was also used to amend the company’s articles of association
